Most people prefer brownies. A baker starts his first lessons in baking with brownies. Most of the children remember assisting their mom when she baked brownies for them. Given below is a newer version of brownie.

3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Sieve salt, flour, cinnamon and baking powder and keep it aside. Make a cream with the butter and sugar. Whisk eggs and add to the cream. Add vanilla essence. Mix well to form a good batter. Take one cup of the batter and add crushed and drained pineapple. To the rest of the batter add chocolate and nuts. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch pan and pour a half of the chocolate mixture batter. Then add the pineapple mixed batter. Finish the batter with the rest of the chocolate batter. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake the brownies fro 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. The ribbon brownies are ready.

Useful tips: Never mix your brownies too much as they may turn hard or crusty. Instead always fold in the ingredients lightly just enough for them to get mixed.

Nothing would be more tiresome than eating and drinking if God had not made them a pleasure as well as a necessity.
